About the Designer

My name is Lauren Schiefelbein and I recently graduated in May 2015 with my Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of Art and Design at West Virginia University. My emphasis of study in this three year program was graphic design and using the design process to create positive social change in rural communities. In the Spring of 2012 I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in graphic design and electronic media at WVU. While the majority of my studies revolved around print design, my creative interests also include photography, videography, and animation. Most recently, my short film "Au Milieu" was selected as a Jury Award Winner and is sending me to Hollywood in July 2015 to compete nationally in the world's largest student film festival, Campus MovieFest. This film was also selected as one of 20 finalists from around the country for the 2015 Campus MovieFest Fan Choice Award. Outside of design, I enjoy sports, drumming, spending time with family and friends, and anything that allows me to be creative.
